Chrome Hearts eyewear: craft with a distinct signature
Chrome Hearts began in 1988 with leather motorcycle clothing. From Los Angeles, the label around Richard Stark developed a world of its own, bringing together leather, silversmithing and rock culture. Those origins remain tangible: not as nostalgia, but as a design attitude that does not take its direction from the prevailing fashion. In eyewear, that character finds a more personal scale. A frame becomes an extension of its wearer, with as much consideration for its shape as for its smallest details.

From workshop to a design world of its own
What began with motorcycle clothing grew into a collection spanning jewellery, clothing, objects and eyewear. The Council of Fashion Designers of America describes the attitude behind Chrome Hearts in terms of artistic freedom, a consistent vision and an enduring commitment to quality. According to the CFDA, products are made in small quantities, with attention to detail at the Hollywood factory. The intention is not to reinvent an identity with every season, but to deepen a recognisable language.
That language is rooted in craft and subculture. Crosses, gothic lettering and sculptural ornaments recur, without making every design the same. Sometimes the character lies in a strong silhouette; sometimes in a detail that only reveals itself at close range. The result is a tension between the immediately recognisable and the personally discovered.

Eyewear considered as jewellery
The eyewear collection brings Chrome Hearts’ silversmithing tradition to the face. Acetate, metal elements and distinctive silver details become part of the composition: not simply decoration, but contributors to a frame’s proportions and character. A bold front can meet finely worked temples; a light, rimless shape can carry a visible cross motif. Material, line and finish tell the story together.
At Eyeclusive, we therefore look beyond the name on the temple. How does a frame relate to your face? Where should the emphasis fall, and how does it feel when worn? We take time to compare shapes, consider the fit and match lens advice to your eyes. Chrome Hearts speaks to those who choose their own direction: not to follow a trend, but to wear something recognisably personal.
